Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 flickers badly on USB3.0

I just installed my LifeCam HD-3000 on a new computer with only USB3 ports. It flickered really badly and it was unusable in any application.I plugged in a USB2 hub and connected the camera to that and the problem went away.Hope this helps other users of the device.
