Windows 7 and Intel Optane

Hello, my grandson and I are building a computer for him to use.I have a 16/256 Intel Optane stick we'd like to include in the build.Problem is, the only licensed copy of Windows I have is Windows 7, so I need to know if Win 7 supports the Optane.The plan is to install Win7, then upgrade to Win10.I've tried several times to d/l Win 10 from my Linux machine, but all I get is the never ending spinner.Anyone have any ideas?Thanks!
