Group Policy System Adminstrator

I am running Windows 7 Professional. This is a personal computer, but I used it at my office before I retired. I went to install a Windows Update and found that my computer has not been updating since 2018 because my old employer's IT people added a Group Policy.My old employer is no longer in business due to Covid, so I have no way to contact them to get it removed and turned back to a local Administrator (hopefully that makes sense).Anybody have an idea how to get control of my computer back without doing a full restore to factory defaults?
