I'm here on behalf of my young teenage son. I'm not a PC guy, and I'm doing my best to help him. His computer which is running Windows 10 keeps randomly restarting. We've tried several things to fix this, but the computer seems to override any normal courses of action that would correct the situation. Entering Safe Mode is the perfect example. Trying F8 or shift+F8 doesn't work at all. If we press shift while pressing restart on the login screen, we can get to the WinRE page and then go through troubleshooting and advanced options to try and enter Safe Mode that way.
