Function keys not responding (specially F Lock key), including calculator, on Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard

Hello there, I recently purchased and installed a new KVM switch (TEsmart) and today I noticed my keyboard did not have the [F] light indicator on. The F lock key was not turning it on and off, and I thought it was a malfunction of the keyboard itself. Any ideas how to solve this issue? I believe the KVM switch may be the problem, but the with the other switch I had the keyboard worked properly.
