Converting Recovery DVD to Recovery USB

I had created recovery DVDs (4 in number) on my HP pavillion laptop. Now, the laptop is showing an error that "the device does not contain an OS". thought of using the recovery DVDs but CD drive doesn't work anymore. Is there a way by which I can convert those DVDs into a single USB and use the USB to recover the original OS on my laptop?
