PrintNightmare fix for XP? How to update?

My situation is this: I use a Win 10 laptop, but I print using wifi to my router/modem and old XP desktop PC connected to my laser printer at the other end of the house. (The OS on the desktop cannot be updated unfortunately.) In other words, I just use the XP desktop as a print server essentially. I can't get Win Update to run on the XP machine any more, so is there a way to patch the Print Spooler to fix the new PrintNightmare vulnerability? Or is XP even affected by it?Thanks.
