Help! I changed an important folder that I wasn't supposed to, which caused a shortcut folder to disappear.

So on June 6 I was using my old Dell Dimension E510 Computer from 2006 which ran on Windows XP (Outdated, unsupported, and insecure, I know.) and changed my user account name on there from "Michael" to "Mike". I also went to Documents and Settings from the C: drive and found that an important folder known as a "Windows System Folder" (which is a folder that isn't supposed to be changed) still had the name "Michael" from when my user account was created over 12 years ago.
