Determine if Windows 7 Laptop Eligible for Free Windows 10 Upgrade

We are finally moving to windows 10. Over the years we have purchased windows 7 laptops some of which we downgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 7. Any way to determine if a license key in BIOS is for Windows 10 or 7?Edited because the most important thing would be determining if a key in bios is for Windows 7 or 10.
