motherboard for win98

As I like to have a 65nm-processor in my new computer
and the motherboard I looked at didn't supported that,
I'm looking for another one. The ones AMD list at their page
as capable of stepping G1-processors (65nm) are the following:

Anyone have tried or otherwise know something about any
of these, and/or how they work with (fully patched) win98se ?
(or the chipset they use etc)

after I wrote this I have found out that the motherboard
I looked at first (ASUS M2V, with VIA K8T890 chipset)
do support the AMD64 3800+ stepping G1 65nm (ADH3800DEBOX)
so I guess I buy it anyway.

Only problem is that the bios must be flashed to a new
version first to support stepping G. Will it be possible to
use my processor when running the (bios-builtin) bios upgrading?
or do I have to temporary put another (allready supported)
processor in to do the flasing...?
will the webshop I buying it from do it for me?

(there is another motherboard ASRock ALiveSATA2-GLAN that
have same chipset that I might consider too, but I haven't
read much about it yet, if it has support for for G1 without
flashing bios etc)


But it is of course still interesting to know about the
win98-compatibility of the other motherboards/chipsets
that I listed in the previous post :)

IF [emphasis if] the shop is selling both the processor and the board to
you, they would be the ones to flash the BIOS.
IF [emphasis if] you have told them you intend to use the board with that
processor they can hardly sell you a board which does not suit the intended
use. I WOULD, however, first get them to explain who is liable should the
flash fail. It should be their responsibility. A reputable dealer would have
a much easier time returning a failed flash [fried board] than you would.
Make sure the board and processor is stable BEFORE removing it from the
store, they should be able to run it or do burn-in at the store.

I would find a board with native [original] processor support if possible.
Make sure BEFORE you purchase the board and processor, that there are
drivers for your intended use. That's ALL intended use [printers, USB
devices, scanners, video, hard drives, etc.] Also, that the intended case
has excess power [potential future use] AND lots of cooling.
