Cannot install Kaspersky

I am using windows 8.1, I am trying to install Kaspersky Antivirus. I have deleted an out of date Norton but Kaspersky keeps telling me it is still there and needs to be removed before installation, I go through the removal stage and restart my laptop but it stills says its there. Any help would be appreciated thanks
