Windows installation could not be completed on a computer with windows preinstalled.

Why is my computer telling me whenever I try and sign into an account on my computer that "windows cannot complete the installation. Please restart your computer.", even though my computer came with windows preinstalled! My computer recently did a bios update and I am wondering if that has affected it. Please help me.
