Unable to activate windows after moving to new system

I use Windows 7 Ultimate (rip windows 7), and after moving the drive with the system to a different PC, instantly I got warnings about me being a victim of software counterfeiting (didnt happen on the original PC). I reset the key, tried it again but now it tells me that "this key can't be used to activate Windows 7". Also tried phone activation - nope. didn't work (it never works really). How do I make sure my windows doesnt lock up after 30 days?
