Preview Pane Issue.Kindly see pics.

I have a windows 7 Laptop,It has a preview pane in Windows explorer.So i mostly keep it closed but now I need to use it so when I enabled it was perfect.like shown below,But when I close the windows explorer without disabling the preview pane then when I again opened its preview pane size increases on its own .see second pic for more details.second pic:-
