D; Drive Full

Hello! I have a 1 TB Hard drive that is full and I cant uninstall hardly anything from the control panel or the add/remove programs option under apps & features. Most of the stuff is stuff my kid put on the hard drive and as i navigate to each particular program I'm not finding any uninstall features. Am I stuck with a full hard drive? I need to install my own stuff and have no room! LOL. Thanks for any help you might suggest. Ryan
