MY PRINTER ISN'T PRINTING.

My PC is using Window 7 and connected to HP Deskjet 2600 series. I am not able to print documents nor photos. I tried trouble shooting and was advised to add more papers. I complied and nothing different happened. my friends, what could be wrong. My printer is new and I am just putting into use.
