message service is temporarily unavailable. when i go to another discussion

sign in page displays, typed in sign-in info, error message appears about
scripts, clicked yes, posted this question. what is going on? thanks. winxp,
sp2, dsl, i've never had a problem until 3 days ago.

It would appear the newsgroup access via the web-interface <yuck> has been
horked since sometime last weekend. But this hasn't affect NNTP
(newsreader) access.

You can still access Security.HomeUsers and all other MS newsgroups,
including this one, using your default newsreader and the MS newsserver
news://msnews.microsoft.com

Accessing the MS newsgroups in Outlook Express Newsreader

Security.HomeUsers newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.security.homeusers

Security General (this one):

idea what my default newsreader would be. do i have to set one up. i do not
use outlook express. i use bellsouth.net(at&t) for email. thanks.

Re: whats happened to consumer security discussion groups -home p

As I said, there appear to be issues when using the web-interface to access
the MS newsgroups. I dunno what's wrong.

Click on either of the above links to open the newsgroup in your default
newsreader. If you're running Windows, they'll open in Outlook Express,
hence the other two links I posted.
