After installing Quality update KB4023057 and the Feature update to W10, version 21H1, I noticed my local user account had vanished. The only accounts left were my local Admin account and my Microsoft account. Attempts to figure out what happened to my local user account proved futile, so I naively thought I'd just re-create it... Unhappily, I discovered that it's apparently no longer possible to create a local user account. The result of my attempts is a circular reference of user interfaces. A.
