Is it possible to trick Windows into believing a USB port is 3.1 instead of 2.0?

Hi,I have an USB hub from Lindy which has a Ethernet connection, it would be insanely useful if I could use it but unfortunately all my USB ports are 2.0, while to use that Ethernet connection it must be connected to a USB 3.0/3.1 port (to take advantage of the much higher velocity).Can't I trick Windows into believing one of the ports is a 3.1 port, even if the speed is limited, so the USB hub would enable the Ethernet port?Thank you!Cheers
