"Windows Media Player cannot burn some of the files" Error but there is no icon and I cannot figure out how to resolve

I am having a lot of issues with burning CDs using Windows Media Player. At first a few of the files had errors because the media player "could not detect the length" but I played the files and the length appeared so that error went away. When I clicked start burn then another error appeared. It says "Windows Media Player cannot burn some of the files. To investigate the problem, click the icon next to the files in the burn list." But there is no longer any icons in the burn list. Is there a way to fix these files or does this mean I need to take the files out of the list and just delete them?
