This is my first time posting here,So i bought a ucb c to a HDMI adapter (for my Asus ROG laptop). This adapter works fine if you limit the monitors refresh rate to 120. When i try to go to 144hz my monitor screen is all black and goes on stand-by later on. My laptop is on windows 10 at the latest version. All my drivers are up to date as well according to MyASUS, NVIDIA GeForce Experience and windows updates. I tried to swap HDMI cables but this didn't work. I also restarted my laptop multiple times when making changes to see the result and nothing changed. I also reinstalled the NVIDIA drive
