Computer BSOD’d on me earlier today while playing a game, and I can’t figure out what the problem is.

I’ve never had problems with this computer before, but earlier today there were green splotches all over my screen, possibly signs of overheating(?), then the screen would simply go black, and I shut it down after a few minutes. Once I turned it back on it gave me the dreaded blue screen. I’ve been looking for solutions online and nothing has worked so far. I can’t enter safe mode, reset to a successful boot, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
