Windows 10 Desktop Window Manager high memory usage

It's the highest memory usage among all running processes on my pc. 548 MB, almost 10% of total memory. My antimalware Service Executable consumes 380MB memory to give it some perspective.So many postings online incl MS community in the past YEARS. MS support only provided generic response - boot in safe mode, reboot your pc. Not helping - pls escalate.
