I've had an external Blu-ray optical drive for almost 2 years and up until this morning its worked great. Windows sees the device as a "Portable Device" but not as a CD/DVD drive. The drive gets power, it opens and discs spin, but Windows does nothing when its connected. Can't see it in Windows Explorer either. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, using registry editor and deleting system keys, nothing has worked. How can I make Windows see this as an optical media drive? I'm unsure what caused this issue, nothing about my setup changed in 24 hours.
