My computer suffered a catastrophic failure about a year ago. It froze during boot up. There was only a black screen and no response from the computer for hours so I turned it off. The Windows files or boot sector or some combination got corrupted and Windows could not repair itself. I had to do a complete reset of the SSD before I could get Windows to install and then I still had trouble. The computer has been running but updates always fail. I haven't had a successful Windows update since reinstallation and many of the suggestions I found here never helped. Any ideas on what to try next?
