My external hard drive stopped working from one day to the next. The only changes I made to my system is that I let windows update run when I turned off my computer the day before. The next day when starting my computer it said "no master boot record found" or something similar. Apparently my external hard drive was first in the boot order, but I never noticed because this was not a problem before. Unplugging the hard drived fixed that problem and I have also changed the boot order in my BIOS to start from my internal hard drive first such that I don't have to unplug my external hard drive eve
