I just switched to Windows after using Macs since the 90s and I gotta say, of all the poor UI decisions that somehow got approved, this is a deal breaker for me: no access to your machine without an internet connection? Is this a joke? The fact that random failures to connect to the internet can block you from being able to log into your desktop machine is ONE THOUSAND PERCENT unacceptable. This "feature" cannot be justified in any way... I want an official answer FROM MICROSOFT about what they thought they were doing with this feature and how to fix it... and if that means going back to Apple
