Can't access my computer due to Bitlocker and I have no means of accessing the recovery key

I opened my work computer today to find that it had been Bitlocked and it wouldn't let me in. Since this is a computer from an organization I no longer work with, I have no means of accessing the main email of this computer and thus I cannot get the recovery key. This has been very frustrating to me as there was no warning of this and I'm not really sure if there's a way to get around this.
