Google chrome ask for windows 10 password but then doesn't recognize the ID/password

When I ask to see my passwords in Chrome, the Microsoft verification box pops up. I enter my login information but get the message that my ID or Password is incorrect. What is Chrome looking for? I log into my PC every morning with these credentials.Thanks for your help! Julie
