After noticing one specific game on Steam won't launch and testing out several different thing with Steam and the game to no avail, someone suggested to me that I might have a failing hard drive. The DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth scan completes saying "No component store corruption detected." DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth stops at 88.9%, and /Restorehealth stops at 55.1% Both of them say Error: 605 "The specified buffer contains ill-formed data."
