Encrypting with BitLocker - freezes around 18% & 'freezes' Win10Pro

I'm using Win10 Pro.I'm attempting to turn on BitLocker and encrypt Drive C. It runs till about 18% and then the screen goes black (but the cursor is still 'live', and then Windows seems to freeze.
