Why am I getting so many emails from Microsoft about someone signing into my account?

For several days I have been getting emails from (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) telling me to "Verify Account"? I have changed my password today after receiving several of these emails every day. I have gone direct to my account and gone through the Privacy and Security sections several times and nothing stops the emails. Is this a Scam? Or are they really for Microsoft and if so why can't I stop the emails?

Can't "add account" and merge my 2 outlook accounts - there is no option under "Settings" That even has an "Account" option
