Uninstalling Programs

I am trying to uninstall some programs that I do not use any more, and it is asking for the administrator and password. I bought the computer so I should be the administrator, but I cannot uninstall the Epson printer or anything else. It does not take the password I changed either.Do you know how to do it? I have tried everything.Sharon
