Good morning, I have a Lenovo Laptop G700 which must be about 7 years old now. I am on Windows 10 21H2. I have always thought the sound quality was pretty good on my laptop until recently. I use my Windows web camera app, Audacity and a Screen capture app. When I record using my microphone the sound play back is often distorted. I have done nearly all the trouble shooting checks and it is a case of a bit hit and miss ! This morning I went into device manager and uninstalled the High definition audio codec driver. I was hoping it would automatically put it back after a "restart" but it didn't !
