Waketimer is keeping Win10 Laptop from going to sleep or shutting down

My laptop (HP Omen 15) recently got beat up (computer bag fell out of back of hotel van) and I think it was in hibernate after a Windows 10 update - but it never got the full restart completed. When I first tried to start it after the fall, it gave a hard disk error. I took the laptop apart and checked everything over. I pulled the HD and physically re-installed it into the machine.Now, the laptop starts and boots properly, but when I try to put the machine to sleep or when I try to shut the machine down using Win10 prompts - the machine wakes up again, immediately.I pulled the machine wake
