install purchase of windows 10

Apperently I don't know how to ask the question to get help. I purchased windows 10 for my win 7 PC. when I downloaded the install tool I got an error code 0x80072f8f-0x20000. I guess it means I purchased it through my xbox account. I guess i forgot I had one. I inserterted my email address and was sent a passcode. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can use my purchase, contact a real person or how to ask the question to get appropriate answers?
