WORD PAD HELP!

Brusso

Whenever I open up Word Pad I have it to where the ruler is showing so that
it will know when to drop down to the next line when it reaches the end or I
press Enter as it's set to 6 and a half inches (the little slider that you
can move left or right on the bottom right side). For some reason or another
when I start typing on it the little slider will automatically move itself
all the way to the right or even if I cut and paste or copy and paste to the
Word Pad it will do this as well. Can you please tell me how I can set it to
where it won't do that and so that it will stay at the specified inch that I
set it as well. The 2 sliders that you can see are the ones that are the top
and bottom that you can see on the left side that have not been moved at all.

Thank you and have a great day!!!

The ones on the left are for setting different tab types.
The right one is the usable page size which is set via File > Page Setup and setting
the indent. If you want it to stay at a specific width:
Set up tabs via Format > Tabs
or
Click View > Options and change the appropriate tab settings to Wrap to Ruler. These
are not the same tabs as mentioned above.

For more info on using WordPad click Help > Help Topics.

The one that you mention which is: File > Page Setup and setting the indent
works perfectly but is not permanent like I want it to be for all of the Word
Pad applications that I want to use it for. Also, I did go into the options
like you said to do and change them all to Warp To Ruler as they were already
set like that, so can you please tell me how I can make this permanent like I
want it to be.
