Windows File Explorer : ‘Modified Date’ is earlier than ‘Date Taken’ on a group of photos.

Hi. In a msoffice forum on January 2, 2022 Lorraine- asked a question, “Why is my modified date earlier than the date I took the photo?” Unfortunately the moderator misread it and banged on about “Date Modified” v “Date Created”. At a second try by Lorraine the moderator gave up and said, “we highly encourage you to contact support via chat or phone.,” That means that none of us get to know the answer!! The post was closed so I'm asking a similar question :- I have an old Windows folder of 30 photos from my father of a holiday in Benidorm. In File Explorer every ‘Date Modified’ is approx 8 mo
