My on-screen Windows are "scrunched" when coming out of sleep mode, but only when using DisplayPort on GTX 970 not HDMI

When my Windows machine comes out of display sleep mode, all my windows have resized themselves to be shorter and wider than how I left them.ASUS 28" 4K Monitor in 1920x1080 mode (VIA Windows) w/Nvdia GTX GeForce 970.https://imgur.com/0iUrNGlIt only does this when using DisplayPort, not HDMI. But I need that HDMI port for my TV. When I come out of sleep mode, all windows are (give or take 5 pixles) 1272 x 676 (divide by 2 since I'm halving my resolution). It does this in 4K mode the same - my setting the resolution to 1920x1080 does not matter.Here is a screen shot of the newly resized win
