I want to make file/folder paths very short for ease of use and for remembering them.

Instead of "c://Users/JohnDoe/Program Files etc "I would like to see "c://My new folder or file". Later I would add files to this one. What is the difference between "C drive" and "This PC"? Causes no end of confusion for me. Can I just use one or the other? tyvm
