sbs2003 installing new license

hi, i'm in urgent need for a quick solution to save a server.
my winlogon.exe is corrupted yet i am still able to login the server.
the current sbs2003 sp1 doesn't have a valid license installed on it
and it's asking to activate within the next 5 days (what happens
after, is it still possible to activate)?
i've bought a new sbs2003 license just to be able to install the new
license on top of it. so i need to change the current license and
activate the new one. and also try to fix that winlogon.exe file which
seems to be corrupted. when i login it pops up a message that says so.
any help would be appreciated and any advice on what to do next.
i really want to try to avoid reinstalling the server since it took
many hours.
is reinstalling on top of the current server an option? if i do that
will i lose all the current software and configurations that i've
installed and will have to reinstall all that?

thank you! aaron.

First of all, if you do not activate you will not lose the server it will
just not let you do ANYTHING until you do activate, I dont believe it will
even let you log on completely without activating once the time period is up.

As far as the winlogon file, have you tried doing a repair install of sbs?
That should not affect any other software or cofigurations but will replace
all the system files with new copies. That would be my first thing to try.
