I have lost 7 computers, innumerable computer peripherals and cell phones to a hacker who has used RATS (remote access trojans) and other software to a person with plentiful resources to hire the best hackers available. This has been accomplished without immediate physical access to my equipment, And my conjecture is that it is done by a wifi attack via a compromised neighborhood connection or, less likely, physical access to ISP hub equipment.
