My Computer is doing a Hard Drive Repair and it say its going to take 60+ hours is it alright to pull the plug and do a hard restart?

my computer is saying that it needs to repair a drive and I started this around 10 30AM. The HDD light is solid and the progress is going very slowly. The screen shows that it going to take over 60 Hrs. should I just pull the plug and restart?
