Burning a CD

I am trying to burn a cd. I have the playlist all done and ready to burn. I put the blank CD in and chose burn disc. It did not burn the playlist and gave me the message to put in a blank disc. It was a brand-new disc but still did not work. I have a Windows 10 and have never had this issue before.
