Connecting to internet

I’m trying to get my pc to connect to a wireless connection but it keeps asking for an Ethernet connection, I’ve tried going into the control panel and turning of network discoverability and it’s not worked I’ve also tried restarting the pc to see if that would work but it hasn’t, I’m at a loss and don’t know what to do.
