I recently built a new computer and went to activate windows with the product key that I had used on the previous machine. The activation didn't work, however, after some research, I went and deactivated my windows license on the previous computer using the commands "slmgr /upk" and "slmgr /cpky". I received the message that windows was successfully deactivated, so I restarted that computer. On my new computer I used the command "slmgr /ipk" to activate my windows license key, the "activate windows" in the bottom right of the screen was removed but I am still unable to personalize my computer
