I am compiling a family history of photos and have 3 files of digital photos in jpg format that were created for me by scanning a batch of 35mm slides. I want to merge them into an existing file created I created from scanned prints. Those pictures are 300 dpi.The images in the 3 files are 3000 dpi and I would like to compress them to either 300 or 600 dpi, and I was told that Paint might do this. I have no experience compressing photos and am looking for some guidance or suggestions as to what would be the best and easiest solution?
