Im running windows 10 with an old Dell Optiplex 780. After the most recent update I noticed files were missing on my Seagate external hard drive. I performed a system restore and it was successful but it did not return the files. The external hard drive shows in device manager but anywhere I try to use it it says it is disconnected and i need to reconnect the drive. During the process of trying to fix it I shut file history off and now I cant turn it back on because it doesnt recognize my external hard drive. HELP!
