Associate new email address with paid Office 365 subscription

I have recently subscribed to Office 365 family and was using my own plusnet email address. However I could not get my plusnet address to work with outlook and plusnet are discontinuing their email service soon anyway. So I decided to set up a new outlook email address. However when I login using that new email address it takes me to a free version of Office 365 not the one I have paid for. I have tried to link my new email address to my old one but have no luck it still goes into the free version.Could anyone assist me please.Thanks
