Can I only share files over network via same connection type. For example one p.c 1 is on WiFi while p.c 2 is on ethernet.

I'm trying to share files over a network. I'm curious do both connection types on each o.c have to be the same?For example p.c 1 is connected to the network via WiFi.P.c 2 is connected to the network via Ethernet.It doesn't seem to be working on p.c 1 as I can only see p.c 1 on the network.While p.c 2 is showing both p.cs on the network
